About Nha Trang Port

Nha Trang port is a class I seaport, and the port is located in Nha Trang bay, which is airtight. The channel and depth in front of the wharf are not deposited. The port is 32 km from Cam Ranh airport and close to international shipping lanes.

Nha Trang Port is located at latitude 12o12¢North and longitude 109o13¢ East. The coast is oriented north-south. In front, there are a number of shielded islands no more than 300m high. There are two channels in and out of the port in the north and south directions. The shield island makes Nha Trang port less affected by storms.

- Anchor area: The area for dangerous cargo ships northeast Hon Mot island with a maximum depth of 20m. Other cargo ships moored 0.5 miles from the harbour at a depth of 15m.
- Pilot: Southern pilot station at latitude 12o10,2¢, longitude 109o15.5'. The Northern pilot station is located at 12o14.5' North and longitude 109o13.7' East.
- Port access channel:
    + Length: 5km
    + Stream depth: -12.0 meters
    + Depth in front of the harbour: -11.8 meters
    + Tide regime: diurnal tide, average difference 1.4 meters
    + Receiving capacity: 40,000DWT cargo ship with reduced load, 240m long passenger ship with a tonnage of 60,870 GT
