"The light of Diego Chulaโ - An artistic symphony amidst heritage site
Sealife Group honorably launches "๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ด๐ผ ๐๐ต๐๐น๐ฎ" onboard Sea Octopus Cruise with a one-day itinerary, highlighted by the lively exhibition of Diego and Chula's spectacular fashion show. Through the symbol of "The light", the journey is a painting that recreates the image of Diego through the eyes of the participants - families, friends, and those whose hearts were touched by the talented and generous man.
Del Valle Cortizas Diego (1972-2021), called by loved ones Diego Chula, is the founder of Chula Fashion. He is known as a fashion designer who works with traditional and cultural materials of Vietnam, an inspiration, a generous soul, and a Spanish who fell in love with Vietnamese culture. With his special love for Vietnam, Diego has his own unique ways of applying traditional Vietnamese materials to his designs, putting together the pieces of the simple and ordinary life of Vietnam to create the art of Diego: liberal and delicate.
"The light of Diego Chula" is a journey to spark the love of Vietnam inspired by the man whose heart is filled with love for Vietnam culture with the highlights of the lively exhibition of Diego and Chula's spectacular fashion show.
On June, 12th, 2022, Sealife Group - A pioneer in cruise operation in Vietnam with tours on Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Nha Trang Bay, is honored to co-operate with Chula Fashion to organize “The light of Diego Chula”. The event is chosen to be held on Sea Octopus Cruise - the newest cruise line of Sealife Group, the leading cruise operator in Halong bay, with a one-day program. With a maximum capacity of up to 300 guests, it has brought attendees a luxury art space, in addition to a sophisticated culinary experience with the highest standard of service on the heritage site.
“For me, it is a dream come true, to organize an event amidst the sparkling beauty of Halong and Sealife Cruise with our family and close friends to commemorate Diego” - co-founder of Chula brand as well as the wife of late artist Diego shared her thoughts on the day of the event. The journey is a painting that resurgent Diego's image in participants’ minds - his friends, those who loved and admired his talent and character throughout the symbol ‘The light’.
The Light of Diego Chula left many unforgettable memories and exciting and new experiences in the hearts of over 130 guests when cruising in Halong Bay on the Sea Octopus cruise. It is said that this is a completely integrated event when attendees not only enjoy luxurious meals, immerse themselves in the art space, and fashion show through Diego Chula’s works - but also have the opportunity to experience the high-class facilities of a supercruise when exploring one of the natural wonders of the world.
Especially, guests can also create their own work with pocket-sized activities while admiring a cocktail party. With handcrafts regularly used by the Chula family to make unique Vietnamese motifs, each person can make a canvas bag with different details and colors - both Diego's breath and its own individuality.
Under the romantic and poetic sunset of Halong Bay, Diego's friends performed his most meaningful songs. Along with that was a fashion show where the final collection featured Diego's "Mosaic of Vietnam".
This is also the first time that the Ao Dai 2022 collection was conceived, following Diego's spirit and completed by the design team - "defective collaborators" and Diego breathed life into the designs of Chula - debuted at the Sea Octopus cruise event. The performance made an unforgettable impression on visitors' hearts.
The artistic journey "The Light of Diego Chula" ended, leaving many emotions and memories for each participant. This is an event not only honoring Diego Chula but also connecting and spreading each person's love for art in particular and Vietnam culture in general.
